چکیده
This paper describes a single-stage synthesis process for activated carbon using cherry seeds. The influences of the carbonization temperature and time were investigated. Using BET method, surface area obtained carbons was determined, as well pore distribution, while SEM images provided further insight into structure surface. Next, adsorption isotherm derived. For test, Pd(II) chloride complex ions used. It found that suitable palladium(II) recovery from diluted aqueous solutions. Out tested parameters synthesis, most optimal one to be 500 °C 3 h. Additionally, it confirmed increase in affects palladium load 1.6 mg/g at 20 15.6 50 (for best-performing sample). fact may suggest is associated with chemical reactions.

The kinetics of the removal of copper ions from aqueous solutions using magnetic nanoparticles supported on activated carbon
Removal of Cu(II) from aqueous solution supplies is possible through the process of adsorption. One of these processes involves the preparation of magnetic nanoparticles on activated carbon (AC). Adsorbed coppre ions on the surface of Fe3O4-AC are separated from aqueous solutions using external magnetic fields. In the present study, magnetic nanoparticles were synthesized ...
متن کاملKinetic study of heavy metal ions removal from aqueous solutions using activated pumice stone
Background: The presence of heavy metals in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems causes harmful effects to living organisms in the environment. This research aimed to determine the potential of activated pumice stone (APS) as a sorbent for the removal of Cd, Cu, and Zn from wastewater. Methods: This research was conducted during 2013 on a laboratory scale. The study was performed using batch exp...
متن کاملRemoval of copper (II) from aqueous solutions by adsorption onto granular activated carbon in the presence of competitor ions
In this work, the removal of copper from an aqueous solution by granular activated carbon (GAC) in the presence of competitor ions was studied. A batch adsorption was carried out and different parameters such as pH, contact time, initial copper concentration and competitor ions concentration were changed to determine the optimum conditions for adsorption. The optimum pH required for maximum ads...
